Barnyard Giveaway
I had some barnyard cookie fun this week. This is how it started:

Originally, my friend Michelle asked me to make cookies for her Dad’s 70th birthday party. Since he’s a cow farmer, she was thinking cows, cowboy hats; a barnyard theme. I took the opportunity to finally use some of my untouched cookie cutters too… Yay!
What would a barnyard be without a pig?
Well, a barnyard without a pig you say? (ha ha)
Barn cats aplenty annnd snuck in one of my faves… butterflies.
I’m not so sure a farmer would wear these boots. lol
In case the thought crossed your mind; I didn’t give those to Michelle for her dad. =) In case this thought crossed your mind; “A barnyard with a cactus?! And hot peppers?!” -If you live anywhere near me, you’re probably thinking that. What can I say; I just felt like using those cookie cutters. =)
Now hold on to your hat; you’re about to get dizzy… Take a look at these two pics: (see below – pic removed.)
Are you eyes going crossed yet? Well, they might even more if you try what I’m about to ask of you. (But I still dare you =)
Can you pick out what the difference is between these two trays of cookies? I’ll give you a hint, it has to do with a ‘missing cookie’. (I don’t have a tripod, so the pictures are definitely not aligned exactly… lol).

A must-have!

My favorite barnyard animal would probably be the mule (or donkey). I always root for the underdog, and the mule is always overshadowed by the popular horses, cows, pigs and chickens.
I also have to send some love to the sheep just because they are so darn ADORABLE (and share their fabulous fleece with us!).

My favorite animal would have to be little lambs!!! Because my name ‘Rachael’ means innocent lamb, plus, little lambs are cute!

I got the answer! Very clever. Amazing cookies! Those guitar strings, how on earth did you get them so straight and thin? You must have a steady hand. I love the variety. I can’t choose a favorite of your cookies, they are all too wonderful. But my favorite barnyard animal is the owl, I guess cause I’m partial to birds. You are soooooooo creative Marian!

My Dad raised pigs when I was young. Baby pigs are so cute…but, like all animals, they grow up!

My favorite animal is the baby chick. I like them since I was a child when my mom read to me funny stories about them in a child’s book. Till today for me they are the friendliest little animal…

My fave barn animal has to be sheep and ducks. I think they are cute and beautiful animals. When I was little I have a lot of memories playing with sheep and duckies.

OK – as for my fave farmyard animal……. it has to the cockerel/rooster. I live on a farm, and my neighbour has Ralph the Rooster, who wakes me up at sunrise EVERY morning……….. so I’d have plenty of time to look at the FANTASTIC book!! heehee

My favourite barnyard animal is the little, fluffy chick….they are so cute and adorable, however, I do love little pink pigs just cause they are pink and have curly tails. Calves are cute too…I think all barnyard baby animals are cute and adorable, love the kittens too especially when you squirt milk at them…now how old do you think I am…yeppers I remember my uncle milking cows like that!

My favorite barnyard animal are baby duckies! They are so cute and fluffy like they just took a bath and shook the water out of their fur and became a fluff ball.
I love your cookies. I love all the babies. Any barn yard animal that is a baby is my favorite, but if I had to pick my the one that I truly like best, it would have to be a baby pig. They are so cute!! Oink, Oink, Oink, rolling in the mud, oink.

I found it! My favortie cookies are the little pigs. I have been on a pig cookie kick lately, they decorate so cute. And everything cute is even cuter in minature so I pick the baby piggies!
My favorite barnyard animal is sheep! I love primitive decorating and the sheep is a perfect prim decor item. I have them scattered through my home.

My favourite cookie is the guitar. My son is a huge music fun. He’s out of the country for a couple of months. I miss him sooo much and would love to make a batch of guitar cookies (in honour of him and his favourite musical instrument) to surprise him when he comes back home.

My favourite barnyard animal is a duck. I’d love to have a small plot of land and have loads of ducks and chickens roaming free. *sigh* but for now I have to settle for our yard and mt partners shed full of pigeons and canaries!

It’s me again… I forgot to tell you what my favorite barn animal is… baby rabbits! They are just so adorable. My dad raised them when we were growing up.
I think the rooster is my favorite barnyard animal. I would love to have one as an alarm clock in the mornings. I like pigs, too. I think they are so cute!

My favorite barn yard animal is the pig. I collect pigs of all kinds.
My favorite farm animal has to be a GOAT! When I was a kiddo about 6 or 7 years old, my mom took us kids trick or treating on Halloween while my did the farm chores…….. we came home to find a baby goat tied to our front porch. My mother knew it had to be my uncles playing a Halloween “trick” and tried to return the goat, but us kids thought it was the best “treat” ever and instantly adpoted the goat! The goat, lovingly called Nanny, spent several years cleaning up the nettles and brush in our barnyard area. Baaaahhhhh!

Your cookies make mine look like you-know-what! How long did they take you? It took me a while, but I found the missing animal. My favorite farm animal is the cow…but you never realize how big they are until you’re right next to one – there’s just something about them that makes me point and say to my kids – look! Cows!

I LOVE your work – my baked goods want to be yours when they grow up.
